Tang Chi @ The Amarene, Penang : Uniquely delicious meal

May 4, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

Our inaugural visit to this charming establishment was an unexpected delight, stumbled upon during a routine trip to the pharmacy. Intrigued by mum and dad’s endorsement of its delectable offerings, we couldn’t resist the temptation to sample its fare for ourselves. So, why not head to try them!

Crispy Basil Pork Belly

A standout dish that left a lasting impression, the Crispy Basil Pork Belly surpassed our expectations. The succulent pork belly, expertly cooked to achieve a perfect crispiness, was infused with subtle notes of basil, imparting an irresistible aroma. The dish, served alongside fragrant rice, a medley of fresh vegetables, piping hot soup of the day, and a refreshing fruit platter, offered a symphony of flavors that tantalized our taste buds.

Signature Pork Patty:

Hubby approved this! In here, the Signature Pork Patty proved to be a crowd-pleaser. Each bite of the impeccably deep-fried patty revealed layers of aromatic goodness, showcasing the culinary mastery behind this dish. It was a savory delight that left us craving for more.

Groupa Fish Soup:

Mum’s selection, the Groupa Fish Soup, exemplified simplicity done right. The hearty portion size and the freshness of the fish added a wholesome dimension to our dining experience. It was a comforting choice that warmed both the heart and the stomach.

Croffle with Butter Pecan Ice Cream:

As a sweet finale to our meal, Grace opted for the indulgent Croffle with Butter Pecan Ice Cream. The marriage of crispy croissant and fluffy waffle, lovingly crafted into a croffle, paired harmoniously with the rich, creamy butter pecan ice cream. It was a dessert worthy of applause, leaving us with a lingering sense of satisfaction.

Overall, our maiden voyage to this establishment was nothing short of exceptional. From the warm ambiance to the impeccable service and, most importantly, the exquisite culinary offerings, it was an experience that left an indelible mark on our palates.
